Do 2 people walk hand in hand if they aren't going to the same place?

Amos 3:3 says "Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?"

Can 2 persons walk hand in hand if they are not heading in the same direction? Can 2 buffaloes be yoked together if they are heading in different directions? Can 2 persons be close friends if they have different mindsets, different beliefs, different values, different vision in life? Can we walk with God if what we want to do and what God wants to do is different?

I'm sure all of us have had people whom we are close to but at some point in life they decided to go a different direction, they begin to have different priorities in life. I'm sure all of us have a person in our lives whom we think understand us, has the same passions, share the same dreams and aspirations. Then all of a sudden, people choose to go another direction. How can 2 be close when they don't have many things in common anymore? When you do not have things in common anymore, what do you talk about when you meet?

I want to talk about revival, i want to talk about the nations, i want to talk about how we can win this generation, i want to talk about Jesus. If that is not what fires you, what can we talk about? Small, superficial talk? i can but then that's not what i really want.

A few verses later in Amos 3:6, the bible says "If there is calamity in the city, will not the Lord have done it?" In just a week, almost 200000 people lost their lives in Asia, God is shaking the nations and preparing them for revival. Amos 3:7 says "Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secrets to His servants the prophets." A prophetic minister made this statement, "God has few friends in Asia." Well, He can't be friends with us if He can't agree with us. Friendship with the world is enmity with God...

Will we agree with Him?
